Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. The Wildlife Conservation Society, an NGO based in New York, NY is a cooperating partner on this research project. Because of their standing as a project partner, the Wildlife Conservation Society is the only entity positioned to receive funding from all project partner agencies and procure the necessary supplies for the project. There are no other NGO entities who are project partners and able to provide the requested services.; The Department, through the Migratory Game Bird Subprogram, is partnering in a research project with several other state and federal wildlife agencies and the Wildlife Conservation Society. As a project partner, we have committed funding for GPS-GSM transmitters to mark cackling geese on the Arctic Coastal Plain of Alaska, which will be accomplished by other project partners, principally the USFWS-ANWR. Since several different state and federal wildlife agencies are contributing funds to purchase transmitters, the Wildlife Conservation Society has been determined by the project lead (USFWS-ANWR) to be the receiving entity of partner funding and the purchaser of required supplies for the project.
