Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Advising the Project Management Team on both national best practices and innovative approaches for assessing the state of arts and culture in the region; b. Meeting with key stakeholders, including elected officials in each participating jurisdiction, to hone the goals of this cultural planning process (a combination of remote and in-person meetings); c. Co-creating the plan’s objectives, deliverables, timeline, and budget; d. Meeting regularly with the City Arts Program Manager and/or Program Management Team to discuss the status of the project (remote meetings are OK); e. Facilitating regular meetings of a community-based Steering Committee (a combination of remote and in-person meetings); f. Helping articulate a clear vision for arts and culture, and developing goals and strategies to support that vision over the next 10 or more years; g. Identifying other expertise and helping select other contractors as needed to support a successful cultural planning process; h. Supporting the Project Management Team’s commitment to keeping the planning process on schedule and under budget; i. Leading the creation of a final written report and the recommendations included therein; j. Participating in presentations to share our findings and recommendations with government agencies and community partners (a combination of remote and in-person presentations); k. Providing recommendations on how to evaluate the plan’s recommendations over time.
