Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City will host an annual marathon and associated events. The marathon will be owned by the City, but the producer will be required to complete all processes necessary to gain final permit approval from the City and other required agencies. The producer will be invited to apply for the Event Permit, through the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) Special Events Program and must meet all the requirements of that program as specified in Portland City Code 7.22 Street and Sidewalk Use Permits and Administrative Rule TRN 1.01 – Street and Sidewalk Use Administrative Regulations, in order to achieve final approval for this event. The producer must provide a detailed plan which describes the production of this event in its entirety. The City and other agencies will assess charges to the vendor on a cost recovery basis as defined in Administrative Rules and by external permitting processes but will not seek other financial recompense during the initial contract period.
