The City of Newport (City) is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified consultants to provide professional services for the Big Creek Watershed Forest Management Plan. This solicitation will follow the Formal Selection Procedure described in OAR 137-048 and is funded through the Oregon Safe Drinking Water Revolving Loan Fund (DWSP Set-Aside Program) administered by Business Oregon and the Oregon Health Authority. The selected consultant will develop a comprehensive Forest Management Plan for the City-owned 550-acre parcel in the Big Creek watershed. The plan will guide sustainable forest practices that protect and enhance long-term raw water quality, identify potential risks to the watershed, and recommend management strategies that align with drinking water source protection objectives.
