The project will construct a single lane roundabout at the intersection of Butler Market Road and Wells Acres Road. In addition, there will be key walking and biking facilities constructed along Butler Market Road beginning at the East leg of the existing 8th Street roundabout to the west leg of the Brinson Boulevard intersection. These improvements include upgrades to ADA facilities, sidewalk infill and upgrades, dedicated bike lanes and cycle tracks, reconstruction of existing driveways, retaining walls, signing and striping, illumination, and landscaping and irrigation. The existing roadway will be widened to accommodate the multi-modal facilities, and a grind and inlay will be constructed on the existing pavement throughout the project limits. Utility improvements include storm drain upgrades and upsizing of the existing 24-inch sanitary sewer main to a 36” main to provide capacity for future growth. Franchise utility relocations and minor waterline appurtenance relocations and adjustments will also be included with the project.
