The City of Newport is seeking professional engineering services to address the rehabilitation needs of the Big Creek Dam No. 2 outlet works, as outlined in Attachment B, Big Creek No. 2 Hydraulic Assessment Memorandum (Jacobs Engineering Group, May 2, 2025). The selected consultant will assist the City in implementing the minimum improvements identified in the memorandum to ensure continued safe and reliable operation of the outlet works, and will provide related engineering services as authorized. The scope of services is anticipated to include: 1. Project Management and Coordination – Provide overall project management, maintain regular communication with City staff, and coordinate all activities to ensure timely completion. 2. Permitting – Identify required permits, approvals, and clearances, and support the City in securing them. 3. Engineering Services – Conduct analysis, prepare designs, and develop documentation for the recommended improvements. 4. Bidding Support – Prepare bid-ready documents and assist the City during the contractor solicitation process.
