a. Beaver Bus Services, Schedules and Routes: Contractor shall provide licensed and qualified drivers to operate OSU-owned buses along routes and schedules specified by OSU (these activities shall hereafter be referred to as “Beaver Bus Services”). Contractor shall ensure that it has sufficient staffing to meet the requirements of the Beaver Bus Services schedule and routes specified by OSU. The Beaver Bus shuttle system is comprised of three fixed routes serving the Corvallis campus: i. Northeast Route ii. LBCC Corvallis Route iii. Central Route A current map of the above routes can be viewed at transportation.oregonstate.edu/beaver-bus. All routes shall operate between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, except for OSU observed holidays. All routes shall be served by one bus, with the exception of the Central route, which shall have two buses running during regular service hours. Routes do not operate on a fixed schedule – buses proceed along the route continuously throughout the service period. The LBCC Corvallis Route and the second Central Route bus do not operate during the summer break, with service resuming the week before the first day of OSU’s Fall term. OSU’s four-year calendar for observed holiday and summer break dates can be viewed at registrar.oregonstate.edu/osus-4-year-calendar. OSU may change the schedule and routes when and how it deems necessary in its sole discretion. OSU shall notify Contractor of any changes to the schedule or routes and Contractor shall expedite any necessary modifications to driver and maintenance personnel work schedules to accommodate any such alterations. While OSU will endeavor to provide at least 24 hours advanced notice of schedule or route changes, emergencies and unplanned situations may necessitate service changes without notice. Contractor shall not alter schedules or routes unless instructed to do so by the OSU Departmental Administrator. Contractor shall ensure that all persons providing Beaver Bus Services under this Contract adhere to the current Beaver Bus Services schedules and routes specified by OSU. Contractor shall monitor Beaver Bus routes electronically via a system approved by OSU for the purposes of providing accurate shuttle locations on route. Contractor shall be responsible for accurately assigning Beaver Buses to each route at the start of service each day, and making corrections if shuttles are moved to different routes at shift changes, or for other operational needs approved by OSU.
