The awarded Contractor(s) shall provide Aluminum-based coagulant for chemically enhanced primary treatment of wastewater. Coagulant provided shall be high basicity polyaluminum chloride or high basicity aluminum chlorohydrate. BES plans to award multiple contracts for bulk delivery of Aluminum-based coagulant to ensure redundancy and uninterrupted supply of product to meet levels of service. Estimated quantity of gallons to be delivered will be 35,000 gallons per year; 175,000 gallons for the 5-year Price Agreement. All bid prices offered shall be inclusive of all shipping and delivery costs. Coagulant provided by the successful Contractor(s) must adhere to the chemical properties outlined below: • Aluminum (Al) fraction: 12.1-12.8% w/w • Aluminum oxide (Al2O3) fraction: 23.0 to 24.2% w/w • Basicity: 75-86% • Specific Gravity: 1.32 to 1.36 (at 20 deg C)
