The selected UAS will be deployed for, but not limited to, the following operations: Surveillance and Monitoring: Support ongoing investigations by providing aerial overwatch in compliance with legal and constitutional requirements. Search and Rescue (SAR): Assist in locating missing persons, including vulnerable populations such as children or individuals with cognitive impairments, in urban, rural, and difficult-to-access environments. Traffic Management and Accident Reconstruction: Provide aerial assessment of traffic incidents, monitor large-scale traffic events, and assist in the documentation and reconstruction of motor vehicle crashes. Crime Scene and Disaster Documentation: Capture high-resolution imagery and video for the documentation of crime scenes, major incidents, and natural or man-made disasters. Tactical Operations: Support tactical units during high-risk operations by offering aerial intelligence without exposing officers to unnecessary risk. Technical Requirements: The UAS platform must meet or exceed the following minimum specifications: High-definition imaging and video capture capabilities (minimum 4K video resolution). Thermal and infrared imaging for low-visibility operations. Extended flight time (minimum 30 minutes per battery). Real-time video transmission to ground control stations. GPS-enabled autonomous flight capability with obstacle avoidance technology. Secure data storage and transmission to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information. Ability to operate effectively in varied environmental conditions (wind, rain, low-light environments). Modular payload options to allow for future upgrades and mission-specific adaptability. Compliance with all applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, including Part 107 Certification standards. Vendor must provide comprehensive training for operators, including flight safety, legal considerations, and operational best practices.
