Specifications include, but are not limited to:The desired services related to graphic design and production include: • General consultation services • Art direction, comps, design, layout and pre-press for new and existing publications: black and white, 2-color and 4-color process work. Consult on finishing (paper stock, binding) and related services. • Design, lay out and create original artwork, including illustrations, for a variety of media: print, digital, signage, banners, promotional items, and other typical marketing channels. • Cartography: Create wayfinding orientation and other detailed maps from GIS exports • Photography: Consult on scanning, purchasing photos, advanced color correction, file preparation and manipulation, rights management. Provide photographic production services: color correction and advanced Photoshop work. • Prepare files for commercial printers and Department of Administrative Services (DAS) printing services • Design for print, outdoor, and special media • Prepare files for other outputs, coordinating calibration of artwork and resolving production issues • Create new or refine existing graphic identities • Provide print, outdoor, and special media output services when authorized by OPRD • Provide mailing and printing services when authorized by OPRD • Provide assistance with calibration and output issues • Conduct press checks when directed by OPRD Special provisions that will apply to services performed under the resulting price agreement(s): • Contractor shall use Adobe Creative Suite and ensure compatibility with OPRD’s operating systems and software. • Contractor shall use open type fonts at all times, unless approved or directed otherwise by OPRD. • Contractor shall use Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) when necessary as directed by OPRD. • Contractor shall provide a dedicated and secure FTP server for client files. • Contractor shall adhere to OPRD’s graphic identity and brand standards, which will be provided to Contractor. • Contractor shall, if requested by OPRD, acquire rights-managed photos and illustrations. Contractor shall be solely responsible for all aspects of acquisition, including entering into agreements with the owners, if necessary.
