Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor will provide a helicopter, fuel truck and driver, and experienced pilot to work with three (3) Agency personnel to survey free-ranging elk in Jackson and Josephine Counties. Flights are expected to occur between February 15, 2013 and March 31, 2013, dependent on weather conditions and animal distribution. Approximately eight (8) flights will originate and terminate from Central Point, Oregon. Up to 27 hours of flight time is expected to be utilized. Each elk census flight will typically last two to three hours early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Morning flights will begin at sunrise, and afternoon flights will terminate at sunset. Contractor must be available for this project within a 48-hour notice by Agency.
