Project Background:
Harry & David Field serves as the home field for South Medford High School, the American Legion baseball program, Medford Rogues college-age team and senior baseball. Local, state and regional tournaments are hosted at the site. An estimated 150 baseball games are played each year. The stadium is designed to accommodate a variety of non-baseball events such as car shows, exhibitions, concerts, and benefit activities for non-profit organizations.
Project Description:
The City of Medford Parks, Recreation, & Facilities Department is soliciting quotes for the supply and delivery of an estimated 98,000 square feet of sod for Harry & David Field (2929 S. Pacific Highway, Medford OR 97501). The project site will be prepared and graded prior to sod delivery. The city’s preferred specification is a perennial ryegrass sod with a ¾-inch root zone. Vendors unable to meet this exact specification are encouraged to submit a quote for the closest available product, with specifications clearly identified. Product and delivery alone will not require BOLI prevailing wages. The city will consider price, compliance with sod specifications, delivery timeline, and warranty support when making an award.
Delivery will be scheduled in coordination with the city once the soil preparation and grading are complete. The target installation period is fall 2025, with sod delivery to occur no later than November 30, 2025.
In your quote, please include the following information:
- Provided sod type
- Root zone depth of sod
- Delivery method
- Delivery Timeline - earliest possible delivery date
