Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.01 The Fire Department is in need of a forklift for a remotely located warehouse. The Fire Department currently operates a Toyota forklift and would like to replicate the basic size, capabilities and operational design as that currently in use. 1.02 Though used, the forklift will be inspected and rendered safe to use without needed maintenance or repairs. The forklift will have operable brakes, reliable LPG operated motor and hydraulic systems. The forklift will not have any identifiable motor, hydraulic brake, hydraulic lift system leaks or other obvious deficiencies. 1.03 The forklift will have a rated lift capacity of no less than 5,000 pounds. 1.04 The forklift will have a maximum mast height of no less than 189 inches. 1.05 The forklift will be provided with 48" forks that can be adjusted laterally on the mast. 1.06 The forklift will have a side shift feature to hydraulically shift hoisted loads side to side. 1.07 The forklift will be powered by an internal combustion engine that uses LPG as a fuel. 1.08 The forklift will be provided with pneumatic tires with no less than 50% tread remaining. 1.09 The forklift will be a 2010 year model or newer. 1.10 The forklift will have 4,000, or fewer, motor hours. 1.11 The forklift will have forward facing lights.
