I. Floor Preparation • Remove dust and debris using commercial vacuums or dust mops. • Move furnishings or coordinate with GRDA to clear floor space. • Protect adjacent surfaces from chemical exposure. II. Stripping Process • Apply appropriate stripping solution for terrazzo and sealed concrete. • Use a low-speed floor machine with stripping pad. • Hand-scrub corners, edges, and stairs. • Remove all layers of finish and buildup without damaging the surface. • Rinse and neutralize the floor to restore proper pH. III. Waxing Process • Allow the floor to dry fully. • Apply 3–5 coats of compatible high-gloss, slip-resistant finish. • Use only floor finishes and chemicals specifically formulated for terrazzo or sealed concrete, as appropriate for the surface being treated. • Maintain proper drying time between coats. • Buff final coat as needed to ensure shining and durability. IV. Clean-Up • Remove all materials and equipment from site. • Return furnishings to original positions. • Conduct final inspection walkthrough with GRDA staff.
