The Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation is seeking bids from Mechanical Contractors for the complete replacements of nineteen (19) 70,000 BTU Natural Gas Furnaces, Seventeen (17) 2 Ton Condensers and Two (2) 2.5 Ton Condensers located at “Plainview I” Stilwell, Oklahoma. This job is to be performed from 8am to 5pm, 5 days week M-Fr, or Housing Authority of Cherokee Nation work hours. Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) The contractor shall bid to "Complete Replacement of Furnace, Condenser" on 19 apartments in HACN Project 45-25. These apartments are located at Plain View I in Stilwell, OK. The specifications provided will apply to all the work to be performed in this solicitation. 2) The contractor shall bid to furnish all necessary labor, licenses, material, equipment, tools, permits, and insurance necessary to complete these projects. 3) The contractor shall bid work hours from 8 am to 5 pm, 5 days a week, M-F, or Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation work hours. 4) These units are occupied. 5) The contractor shall bid to repair/replace any and all rotten/damaged material, around or on the furnace platform in the closets. Repair/replace will be with new material. 6) The contractor shall bid to remove existing HVAC equipment from closets. This equipment shall be disposed of at a proper dump site. 7) The contractor shall bid to update the fresh air and combusted air to city and state codes. 8) The contractor shall bid energy star 70,000 BTU, 80% natural gas up flow furnace for (1 & 2br) or equivalent. 9) The contractor shall bid energy star 70,000 BTU or greater, 80% natural gas up flow furnace for (3 & 4br) or equivalent. 10) The contractor shall bid to modify the existing plenums to fit the new furnaces. 11) The contractor shall bid to install metal screws and aluminum 2 mil foil tape (2-1/2" wide) around the modified plenums. 12) The contractor shall bid to remove/install new gas valve with a 6" drip leg to the new furnace, with new approval flex gas line. 13) The contractor shall bid to install new furnace flues to manufacturer's specifications. 14) The contractor shall bid to install an oversize new rainstorm collar on the interior flue pipe next to ceiling. 15) The contractor shall bid to install a white 1" return filter grill with (2) filters. (1 install and 1 left at the unit, total (2) filters. (SHALL MATCH EXIST RETURN AIR HOLE 14"x24") NO UNDER SIZE WILL BE ALLOWED. 16) The contractor shall bid to install new 6' - 16/3-gauge wires, 120-volt supply cord for furnace.
