Specifications include, but are not limited to: To provide community-based education and outreach services, to enhance access to needed reproductive health services, for hard-to- reach/at-risk youth in Tulsa County. Health care providers within the community shall be targeted for awareness and education services regarding the reproductive health care needs of hard to reach/atrisk youth. Providers should encourage family participation in the decision of youth seeking family planning services and provide counseling to youth on resisting attempts to coerce youth into engaging in sexual activities. Outreach and education services shall focus on youth living in youth or homeless shelters or at risk of need for shelter care. Services may be provided within the agency but must also be provided in other community settings such as homes, schools, community centers, homeless shelters, health clinics, or hospitals and may be provided on an individual or group basis. Plans for parent education and methods to promote parental involvement in youth decision-making must be addressed.
