Specifications include, but are not limited to: This RFP intends to solicit the services of a firm or pool of firms that can provide comprehensive uniform rental services for AHPS’s maintenance employees. 1. Schedule of Service Required: i. Take accurate fitting measurements within seven (7) business days after award and 7 business days after receipt of notification of any new measurements. ii. Furnish brand new never worn shirts, pants, shorts, and jackets for starting inventory; within seven (7) business days after fitting measurements have been taken. iii. Make and complete necessary alterations of uniforms within seven (7) business days after furnishing the uniforms. iv. Replace all irreparably damaged, permanently stained, or worn-out uniforms with all entirely new within seven (7) business days of pick up. v. The successful contractor shall, at minimum, provide THA / AHPS with Uniform Rental Services” as required herein, including but not limited to, furnishing new shirts, pants, shorts, and jackets, measuring, fitting, hemming, taking in, and letting out, adjusting, stitching, sewing, repairing, and delivering uniforms. vi. This base bid for the rental of uniforms per week and per person is for approximately forty-two (42) employees. 2. Proper Fit: i. Measure each THA / AHPS employee individually at a THA / AHPS designation site to ensure that the to-be-provided uniforms fit properly. Each employee shall be individually measured by trying on sample uniforms to ensure proper sizing, including any unusual sizes necessary to ensure comfortable wear and a professional appearance. Any size mistakes or corrections shall be performed by the contractor at no additional cost. ii. Check with each THA / AHPS employee individually to ensure that the provided uniforms fit properly; make necessary alterations to the uniforms at no additional cost. iii. After the initial acceptance of the uniforms fitting properly, the contractor shall make necessary alterations or supply new never worn uniforms for employees whose uniforms no longer fit properly, at no additional charges. iv. Uniforms shall be designed to fit female and male THA / AHPS employees. No unisex sizes. 3. Startup Inventory: i. Provide each THA / AHPS employee with the following: five (5) Spring/Summer shirts, five (5) Fall/Winter shirts, five (5) pairs of pants, five (5) pairs of shorts, and two (2) Fall/Winter jackets. ii. New employees shall be furnished with startup inventory of temporary uniforms within one week and brand new never worn uniforms within two weeks at no additional prep charges or any other charge. iii. All inventory shall remain the property of the contractor, if a uniform is damaged and THA / AHPS is being charged a replacement cost, THA / AHPS shall be given an option of keeping the damaged uniform at no cost.
