The City of Tulsa’s Traffic Operations Division (TOD) of the Public Works Department is seeking to standardize traffic signal detection systems on a few approved systems. Maintenance of too many types of systems has become difficult and cost prohibitive. Therefore, a few systems will be selected through this Agreement. Those systems will be stocked and maintained by the City of Tulsa. Older systems will be replaced by the selected systems over time as funding becomes available. The City of Tulsa is seeking Bids for supplying various types of traffic signal detection systems. The IFB has been broken into sections of like items, as follows: • Section A – Video Detection Systems and Parts • Section B – Radar Detection Systems and Parts • Section C – Combination Video/Radar Detection and Parts • Section D – Single-Point Detection Solutions For this IFB, to allow for maximum flexibility in standardizing detection systems, Bidders do not have to bid on every line item. They also do not have to bid on every line item in a section. Lines have been included in the Pricing Worksheet in Exhibit A – Pricing and Delivery for various traffic signal detection systems. Additional lines may be added to a section for additional products for consideration if they are within the scope of this Specification for detection systems, but the City does not guarantee that those will be added to the Agreement. Please attach sheets with the additional line items to Your Bid and note them on Exhibit A. However, it is requested that for any given system, Bidders fill out both the full system pricing as well as the parts of that system to give the City the flexibility to order parts as needed for maintenance and repairs without replacing an entire system due to a single failed component, such as a video camera. Bidders who provide pricing for both full systems and component parts may be given preference over those that do not.
