A. The work contemplated includes furnishing all necessary labor, tools, equipment, materials, supplies and miscellaneous items required for the construction as indicated on the drawings and herein specified. B. The methods and quality of workmanship and construction shall be governed by applicable sections of these specifications. C. The Contractor shall comply with all codes, ordinances, rules, regulations, orders and other legal requirements of public authorities which bear on the performance of the work. D. The Contractor shall promptly submit written notice to the District of observed variances of contract documents from legal requirements. E. The Contractor shall coordinate his work with the contractor performing work under separate contracts and shall cooperate fully to ensure smooth execution of the work. F. Union Public Schools is a tobacco free environment. Tobacco products are not allowed on school property. 1.02 CONTRACT: Construct work under an individual single stipulated lump sum contract. 1.03 NON-USE OF ASBESTOS PRODUCTS: 1.04 A. Asbestos in any form shall not be uti I ized in the construction of the project. B. Contractor and each subcontractor shall certify the non-use of asbestos bearing products in the form provided in Section 00600 of these specifications. TIME AND LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: A. The date for substantial completion for beneficial occupancy of the project shall be as stated on the Contract's bid and likewise incorporated in the contract. B. The Contractor will notify the Owner of any substantial delay of the agreed upon schedule.
