Specifications include, but are not limited to: Charge: Cationic; Relative Molecular Weight: High; Specific Gravity @25°C: 1.01-1.05; Flash Point: >93°C; Freeze Point: -5°C; Shelf Life: (Stored<38°C): 2 years; PH: 5.0-8.0; Bulk Viscosity @ 25°C: 3200 max; Product shall be an organic polymer and will contain no metallic salts. Product shall be a 20% solids compound. P.A.C.’s (Poly-Aluminum Chlorhydrates) or aluminum containing products will not be considered.; The filter influent turbidity shall consistently be less than 1.0 NTU and shall not exceed 5 NTU. If it does, and is attributed to the polymer, that may be grounds for contract termination. Also, if the polymer causes binding of the filters, or reduces filter run time, it may be grounds for termination.; The product shall meet standards set by the Department of Environmental Quality, and the Environmental Protection Agency.; Successful bidder shall supply approximately 4,000 to 5,000 gallons of W-77 (a poly DADMAC)/591-C delivered in Bulk liquid quantity, per year (July 1 through June 30). Edmond Water Treatment Plant can accommodate shipments of approximately 500 gallons per delivery. The estimated shipment/delivery frequencies during the winter, or low flow, months will be roughly every 35 to 40 days. The estimated delivery frequencies during the Summer, or high flow, months will be roughly every 15 to 20 days.; The City will require the successful bidder to provide a dedicated pump, hose, plus any other applicable appurtenances (used solely for the City), required to off-load the polymer to the City’s bulk tank. This will minimize the potential for cross-contamination with other products. Otherwise, successful bidder will need to drop off totes that contain roughly 250 gallons each. The City also prefers that vendor have a warehouse or handling facility that is located within 150 miles of the Edmond Water Treatment Plant.
