Contractor will provide 100 Acres of mechanical removal of shinnery oak and eastern red cedar from the project area in attached map, to ground level and below the lowest growing limb. 1. Requirements Removal is defined as: mastication, chipped, hand removal, cut/mowed, or use of any other method to physically remove the plant. Masticated material will average no more than 3’’ in depth on the ground. Shinnery oak mottes will not be removed. A shinnery oak motte is defined as a small, distinct clump or grove of trees that stand out from the surrounding landscape. Any dead standing red cedar shall be removed by one of the methods described for removal. All work will be done as directed by the ODWC Area Biologist. Weekly updates will be provided to designated ODWC staff.
