The proposed contract is for mowing of approximately 18 miles of roads and 5 miles of dikes. Disking habitat plots and planting wheat on approximately 28 acres. Mowing/brush hogging will need to be done three times. First mowing time, the week of August 1, 2025, second mowing time week of September 23, 2025, and third mowing time June 9, 2026. In addition, mowing habitat plots once in august and disking two times and planting wheat on time on approximately 28 acres on Copan WMA. Mowing on habitat plots can begin August 15, 2025, disking twice and planting can start September 9, 2025. The disking and planting can be done on the same day. Wheat must be certified clean wheat and planted at a rate of 90 pounds per acre. Mowing/brush hogging and disking/planting wheat will be done on the Copan Wildlife Management Area in Washington County in northeast Oklahoma (see attached map). Additional directions will be given to the awarded vendor as needed.
