Work will consist of scraping/shaving topsoil from nearby ground directly inside manipulated developed units (work area) and depositing onto the dike that surrounds the unit to build up elevation from erosion, fill in holes, and beaver runs. Equipment shall be used to collect and deposit materials on desired areas. The levee will need to be packed and shaped to desired standards outlined below. The dike/levee will fall into a slight drainage ditch on the inside edges then gradually rise towards the center of the unit where it flattens out. Soil must be evenly collected/scraped across the entire unit and no deep runs of dirt (borrow pits) will be allowed for use. No more than 6 inches deep may be scraped in any one location. Vegetation shall be scraped off the top before new dirt is placed for binding purposes. Access ramps are allowed to be made and used during work but must be removed before completion of project per ODWC personnel. Some ramps may be kept for ODWC future needs. Equipment must be low ground pressure, tracked or rubber-tired equipment.
