Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Somerville, through the Office of Sustainability and Environment (OSE), seeks proposals from qualified individuals or firms to conduct a feasibility analysis of one or more closed loop networked geothermal systems (also known as a networked ground source heat pump system) in the city of Somerville. Possible locations for this study will be based on a citywide Geothermal feasibility study currently underway. The City has received a grant from the HEET Kickstart Mass program, funded by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (CEC) and will award up to $50,000 to the selected vendor for: • Contribute to City-led community engagement on networked geothermal systems; • Evaluation of potential site(s) and buildings in the geothermal system; and • Preliminary design and cost estimates for installation.
