DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work to be accomplished consists, in general, of the following principal items. This does not mean the work consists only of these items, but that it consists of these principal items along with all incidental minor work which becomes necessary to complete to accomplish the overall project in satisfactory and workman like manner meeting the approval of the customer and the Contracting Officer.
Contractor will furnish: all labor, tools, materials, personnel, and equipment to fully accomplish all requirements as listed below:
-Completely remove all shrubbery (to include stumps) on the northeast and southwest corner of building 228
-Completely remove all concrete pavers from the west (main) entrance of building 228
-Completely remove all current landscaping features (wooden retaining walls and rock on the northeast corner and southwest corner of building 228.
-Prepare area for new landscaping, to include commercial grade weed barrier fabric and pre-emergent granular for weed prevention.
-Level the areas on the northeast, southwest, and west sides of building 228 with new, nutrient rich soil
-Construct stone edging/retaining wall in areas that will house new landscaping. Stone edging (bricks) will be mortared to ensure longevity and stability.
-Plant new, native shrubbery in intervals that create a clean, professional appearance on the northeast corner, southwest corner, and west side (main entrance) of building 228.
-Fill landscaped area with an appropriate amount of river rock.
-Professionally trim six trees on the west side and nine trees on the east side of building 228.
-Professionally trim one tree on the west corner and one tree on the north corner of building 296.
-Haul off all debris, rock, and trimmings to off-base debris collection site.
