Tailrace Crane Successful Bidder shall remove and replace 20-ton Hoist and Trolley with a rope length of 100’. It rides on a monorail IBeam (S18X54.7) that is 71’ 3” long, 6” wide and 18” tall. See Figure 1 below for the construction drawing. The crane cover will be demolished and rebuilt. The cover shall consist of a roof made with aluminum, stainless steel, or galvanized metal and walls made of plastic strip curtains that will allow the trolley to pass through. The successful bidder shall clean, buff, and paint/coat the monorail and monorail structure with marine grade paint/coating. The hoist and trolley will be controlled by a wireless remote provided by the Successful Bidder (OMPA prefers to use InMotion 410 Series remotes). The monorail shall be tested to 100% of 20 tons in accordance with ASME B30.17. Drawings and pictures of the monorail and crane are below.
