Seal all penetrations for fire rating. 9. Existing breaker panel can remain, or be relocated. HOSITWAY Seal all penetrations in hoistway. Cover or remove wood from top of shaft and door frames 1. 2. Install door retainers on top of doors. 3. 4. Remove all unrelated wiring in holstway. All wiring in hoistway must be in conduit or of flame retardant type. PIT 1. Provide guarded light with 10 foot-candles. 3. 4. 2. Provide sump pump or drain capacity to remove 3,000 GPH (verify) Provide single GFCI or permanently wired for sump pump. All Sump pumps must be provided with a full flow check valve and gate valve. Provide convenient GFCI outlet, Provide code compliant pit ladders.
