Heat treatment for the extermination of bed bugs in building 220. Removal and disposal of all mattresses that contain rips, holes, or other defects that may be a habitat for bed bugs or bed bug eggs. Cleanup of all bed bug remains and any residual from heat treatment equipment or processes. Reposition all furnishing in building (to exclude removed damaged mattresses) back to original layout. 2.1 Heat Treatment: Contractor will ensure the temperature of each room in building 220 (approximately 20,423 SQ FT) (See Annex 1 for layout) is raised to the appropriate level and held at that temperature for an appropriate amount of time (per industry standards) to ensure that all bed bugs and bed bug eggs are exterminated. Building 220 consists of 8 sleeping bays with bunk beds (double or single) with mattresses and wall lockers. 1 consolidated kitchen and dining area with tables, chairs, and kitchen equipment. 4 bathrooms. 1 logistics area with supply cage, desk, and chairs. 1 administration area with desks and chairs. And 1 common area consisting of stair well and entry area. Contractor shall provide Camp Gruber with documentation stating the minimum temperature and the amount of time it was held for each room. 2.2 Mattress Removal: Contractor will be responsible for inspecting approximately 198 mattresses, identifying any with rips, holes, or other defects that may be a habitat for bed bugs or bed bug eggs, and for removal and proper disposal of all mattresses with rips, holes, or other defects. Any mattress not containing defects are to remain in place. 2.3 Cleanup: Contractor shall clean all areas of the building to remove all bed bug remains. Clean any other residual from heat treatment equipment, personnel in the building, or the processes from bed bug removal. 2.3.1 Reposition Furnishings: Contractor shall reposition all furnishings moved during the treatment or cleaning process back to their original locations (to exclude removed damaged mattresses). Contractor is not responsible for replacing damaged and removed mattresses.
