We have used the attached FIPS compliant equipment in the past. Is this acceptable?
equipment must be FIPS201 and TAA compliant.
1. Can we install a POE door controller?
- POE is fine as long as it doesn’t take more than 30 watts.
2 Are any of the door frames filled with mortar?
- We provided a spreadsheet on the last posting with that information. Please let us know if it needs sent again.
3. Do the various rooms have a building access node in each room?
- There should be a switch within range in each building (thus the requests for switches).
4. Must the conduit be EMT or is plastic acceptable?
- Conduit must be metal/EMT.
5. What door strikes are required for each door i.e. type/model #?
- We do not require a specific type/model. Our only requirement is for it to be TAA compliant.
See attached PowePoint.
Q&As
Are we removing all old access systems and installing one new system for existing 40 doors and also the 9 new doors
This is my understanding and makes sense just want to confirm. New system will have 49 total doors
Could we get the schematics and images?
Also do all new cards need to PIV or proximity?
To answer the first question it will be 31 existing doors and 9 new doors for a total of 40 doors.
The schematics and images that were provided in the PowerPoint we sent is the best we will be able to provide.
I believe all the doors will be PIV. Example personnel will walk up and place CAC card in front of the reader and door will unlock.
Please see revised PWS. Please submit new or revised proposals. Existing proposals for the requirement prior to this current PWS revision will not be honored.
