The Contractor shall be responsible for notifying all utility companies and governmental agencies who might have utility lines on or about the premises, or whom might be affected by the construction the contractor shall also coordinate his activities with the utility companies to ensure compliance with the project schedule. The contractor shall make every effort to locate and protect existing utilities and shall repair any damages. The contractor shall be responsible for all required permits from the City of Norman and coordinate inspections with them as needed. The contractor shall be responsible for his own construction staking. All signs, pavement marking, and other traffic control devices shall conform to the manual of uniform traffic control devices, latest edition. Unless otherwise directed, the contractor shall provide a medium broom finish on all concrete walks, ramps, stairs and paved surfaces. Should the contractor need to close a lane on Tecumseh Road at any time during the construction, the contractor shall coordinate with the City of Norman Traffic Division for any special permitting and approvals. Any lane closures shall meet the requirements of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), latest edition. The contractor shall be responsible for removing and replacing any portion of the existing irrigation system or existing landscaping that is impacted by the project.
