Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this bid and the requirement contract awarded following an evaluation of the bids received is to provide for the lease, preventive maintenance, and regular replacement of components of the Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Portable Deionization (PDI) systems that provide high purity turbine-quality water to the fluidized bed incinerator/waste heat boiler unit at the District’s Southerly Wastewater Treatment Center (SWWTC) Renewable Energy Facility (REF). The high purity water is required to generate high-quality steam to drive the REF’s turbine. The water purification system is integral to the incineration process to meet biosolids processing requirements and avoid a shutdown of any plant processes. The Contract duration shall be for threeyears or until the funds appropriated to this Contract are exhausted.
