Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Consulting: These services may include providing assistance and advice to teachers, staff and parents concerning disabilities and other areas associated with special education trends and issues. Including, but not limited to: support with individual students, serving as a liaison between schools and the Department of Student Services, participating in team meetings as needed, supporting school teams with scheduling, providing services, and specialized classroom supports. Provide consultation services on behalf of preschool and school aged children with disabilities B. Professional Staff Development: Activities to enhance professional career growth for teachers, and other educational staff in specific areas related to special education. Provide Staff development for district staff. Program Improvement: The process of assisting special education administrators and other personnel in improving special education programs in the District. Improvement targets may result from advice from professionals with expertise in the areas needing improvement.
