Specifications include, but are not limited to: Ohio University is seeking proposals from qualified/licensed suppliers to establish a Master Services contract for alarm system monitoring services at various buildings on the Ohio University Athens campus. The awarded supplier will be responsible for monitoring existing alarm systems and providing alarm monitoring, service, installation and support for future alarm systems. The University reserves the right to award the alarm monitoring and alarm services, installation and support to either one supplier or to separate the alarm monitoring and alarm service, installation and support into two separate engagements. The successful supplier will be expected to notify the appropriate personnel should an alarm be activated. Examples include but are not limited to paging the on call Facilities Staff for a temperature alarm in Culinary Services, contacting an Animal Research Laboratory manager of a power failure or contacting OUPD in the event a panic button is engaged. This is a campus wide contract, there will be over 20 different departments that will need Building Alarm Monitoring Services. Each department will have specific needs for their areas. Alarms are required to be monitored by the single-source vendor and OUPD is required to be the only point of notification of activations for security alarms and hazmat alarms. Environmental alarms, such as freezer alarms, are prohibited by policy from reporting to OUPD.
