The intent of this contract is to provide the Department of Public Service with continuing contractual access to resources that are necessary to renovate the existing refuse warehouse and offices located at 1265 Marion Road, Columbus, Ohio 43207. The Department of Public Service would like to renovate the existing structure to improve energy efficiency, replace outdated equipment, and to reconfigure the building to meet current operational needs. The project will include HVAC, lighting, plumbing, water service, and electrical upgrades, as well as any necessary fire protection to meet occupancy requirements. The site will need parking lot repairs, loading dock improvements, and roofing restoration or replacement as well as the addition of staff locker rooms, redesign of office space, and creation or work areas. Due to construction funding restrictions and the need to continue to occupy the space during construction this design will be phased, and construction will be bid in three phases over the course of 2025, 2026, and 2027, potentially running into 2028.
