For the supply of one (1) air compressor (per detailed specifications herein or approved equal) to the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati (MSDGC) Treatment Division. Bidders are to complete the Excel pricing sheet in the shaded areas (Volume #3). Prices bid are firm and fixed for the project. 1. SCOPE OF WORK 1.1. Furnish an oilless, water-cooled compressor and all additional ancillary materials and equipment to suit Millcreek air requirements for a properly functioning system. 1.2. Furnish a dryer unit that is appropriately sized to handle the air load and provide technical details for installation and configuration by MSD including but not limited to drawings, diagrams, instructions, relevant information and parts labeled. Integrated and separate dryer units will be considered. 1.3. Provide start up and technical support on standard installation parameters, perform acceptance testing, and then place unit in satisfactory operation. (MSD to perform installation including water, electrical, and air hookups). Bidder support will include: - Providing information on water cooling, electrical, and air tie-ins. - Provide details on PLC integration to WWT engineering for approval. - Provide two training sessions at least an hour in duration scheduled on two separate days for purposes of training of Mill Creek WWTP maintenance and operations staff for machine use. Training shall instruct the users on proper operation, care and maintenance of the equipment and systems. Training must take place onsite and include both classroom discussions on the theory of operation and field discussion about common maintenance/troubleshooting tasks. Tr 1.4. Pricing to be inclusive of delivery, startup, equipment supply, documentation, warranty, training, and any other ancillary costs. 1.5. All equipment shall include delivery to the Mill Creek WWTP site located at 1600 Gest St., Cincinnati, OH 45204. - All equipment shall be shipped and packaged in a way that eliminates risks from adverse weather conditions and allows for movement of the equipment using a forklift. - Provide information on storage requirements for the air and dryer units 1.6. Complete assembly and shop test. Provide results to MSD WWT Engineering for approval before shipping. 1.7. The new air compressor shall be sized to safely fit on the existing 59.5 x 156 in. concrete pad unless a footprint size deviation is approved by WWT Engineering. Where the air compressor design allows, match existing air inlet/outlet piping, cooling water piping, and electrical connections as closely as possible.
