Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall provide long-term staffing for the parking operation, twentyfour (24) hours per day seven (7) days per week, performing the following functions and all others specified in accordance with this Agreement: A. Ticketing and Revenue collection Functions A Barcoded and manreadable, automatically dated and time-stamped parking ticket shall be issued by the parking control equipment to each public parking patron upon entry into the Facilities. The Contractor shall procure the ticket stock and stock the ticket stock and issuing machines. Manual tickets shall only be issued when power or other operational issues require the need. Contractor agrees to notify the Authority’s Parking management team immediately when manual tickets are being issued at any facility. Patrons shall be able to enter and exit parking lots and structures at all times, except as may be otherwise approved by the Authority in writing. The Contractor shall permit Airport shuttle buses, Authority owned and operated vehicles, and other categories of vehicles and groups of individuals as approved in writing by the Authority to park in the public parking lots at no charge. The Contractor shall not close any lane within the Facilities without the express permission of the Authority. B. Traffic Management/Signage The Contractor shall monitor and manage all traffic and signage as required in the Facilities by directing traffic, setting up and taking down cones or barricades and erecting or replacing delineators. The Contractor shall provide clear, visible signage for parking patrons showing parking facility names and rates, and directing them to available parking areas when areas are full. Contractor shall also maintain and monitor all changeable message signs used by the parking facilities. C. Customer Assistance The Contractor’s maintenance employees shall maintain twenty-four (24) hour emergency service at “no charge” to: 1) help the parking patron find their vehicle, 2) “jump start” vehicles with dead batteries, 3) provide air to inflate flat tires, 4.) and provide motorist assistance in the lots and on the arrival and departure drive lanes. The Contractor shall also provide up to one (1) gallon of gas per vehicle, which is out of fuel. The Contractor is not obligated to provide any other mechanical service, but should make all reasonable efforts to facilitate the resolution of customer’s motor vehicle problem through assistance with communications or other means reasonably available (i.g. tow truck). Contractor shall maintain a waiver for each customer to sign before these services are provided.
