Specifications include, but are not limited to: 4.1 Lawn Maintenance: Calculation of Charges: 4.1.1 All prices are based on a Base Charge provided by the Bidder on the Proposal Pages. Prices must be in whole dollar amounts. Charges will increase based on multipliers to cover additional charges for the following: 4.1.1.1 Size: Larger sites will have multipliers to account for increase size and will include one category for a typical single lot, double lot, triple lot, etc. Note: two sites adjacent to one another will be counted as one lot and charge will be based on the sum total of the sites (for example: if two parcels of 2,500 square feet are adjacent to one another, pricing will be on one 5,000 square foot site). 4.1.1.2 Initial cut: An initial cut is the first cut of the parcel for the season. It is expected the parcel will contain more trash than normal and taller grass than normal. Most initial cuts will occur in the spring, but some initial cuts will be required as additional properties are added. 4.1.1.3 Brush cutter/excessively high grass: Charges in this category require pre-approval by the Asset Manager assigned to the area. City reserves the right to assign sites with excessive grass to other contractors or rebid. Sites typically are newly assigned to the Contractor and the Contractor is unable to mow with standard equipment. 4.1.2 Bids for parcels over one half acre: City reserves the right to establish a contract to one contractor for all sites over ½ acre. Bidder must meet the minimum qualifications for sites of this size as specified in the Bid Proposal Pages. 4.1.3 Per hour charges: Charges for snow removal, trash removal beyond what is included with base prices, and other miscellaneous services not included with the base charge may be charged on a per hours basis. Per hour charge is per person and can include reimbursements for material and similar costs. Contractor is required to estimate charges under this category and obtain authorization from the Asset Manager prior to starting work.
