Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. The City of Columbus is seeking a firm who specializes in audio, video, broadcast, and telecommunication technology systems with supplemental architecture services for controlled concealed installation. The overall scope of the work shall include design, engineering, and construction contract administration services. B. The City of Columbus and Columbus City Television (CTV) are requesting A/V upgrades, broadcast equipment and associated integration services to upgrade the A/V functionality of Room 204A of the Michael B. Coleman Government Center, located at 111 N Front St, Columbus, OH 43215. The room is used for various city meetings, presentations, press conferences and events. The room needs to be interconnected with CTV’s existing Broadcast Control Room in City Hall, 90 West Broad St., Room 341A via an existing, city-maintained fiber infrastructure. The city is requesting: six (6) PTZ cameras to be installed in specified locations; an automated audio system to handle sound reinforcement in the room and to feed CTV’s broadcast control room; installation of an audio press mult; broadcast lighting suitable for TV coverage of events from multiple room orientations. 1.3 SCOPE OF WORK A. In Hearing Room 204A equipment rack, provide: 1RU Gigabit Ethernet switch Netgear GSM4230UP (or equivalent by Cisco or Dell) POE++ switch for video camera power and control. B. Video multiplexer / fiber transmitter. Provide: Custom Thor F-supermux optical universal multiplexer with 10 configurable slots in Hearing Rm 204A equipment rack C. Video de-multiplexer / fiber receiver. Provide: Custom Thor F-supermux optical universal multiplexer with 10 configurable slots in Control Rm 341A equipment rack. D. Video: install six (6x) new Panasonic AW-UE150KPJ, 4k, 12G-SDI, Pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras. E. Camera Control and Power Ethernet Cable: Provide green Cat6A plenum rated Ethernet cable from each camera located in Room 204A to new patch panel in Room 204A equipment rack. Terminate the camera end in Cat6A plug and the patch panel end in green, Cat6A jack insert for installation in patch panel. Provide green Cat6A patch cable between each jack in patch panel and new POE++ capable network switch (Scope of work line A) in the same rack. This cabling will provide camera control and 90W, POE++ from the switch to each camera. F. Video Cable. Provide: 12G SDI capable, black, plenum rated, coaxial cabling from each camera to Thor F-supermux multiplexer in Room 204A equipment rack. G. Fiber. Pull: two (2x) single-mode strands from existing city fiber located in Room 204A floor box to equipment rack in Room 204A H. Audio. Provide: eight (8x) channels of Shure ULXD wireless tabletop gooseneck microphones. I. Audio. Provide: Auxiliary XLR inputs and outputs to transport line level signals in and out of the integrated room system. J. Audio. Provide: audio embedder to embed room system audio with PTZ Cam 1 video. K. Room System Control. Provide: solution to control audio routing, levels, sources; video routing, sources in a unified, easy-to-use system located in Room 204A.
