Specifications include, but are not limited to: Breastfeeding Education and Policy for Ohio Businesses. The objective of this project is to support workplace compliance with the federal lactation law and improve duration of breastfeeding by: 1. Increasing understanding of the benefits of allowing time and space for mothers to express milk or breastfeed at work and 2. Improving employer/businesses’ policies that are supportive of breastfeeding. Funds have been provided to develop an Ohio specific Breastfeeding Tool Kit, collect and analyze assessments for at least fifty businesses in the nine counties regarding lactation accommodation offered and review existing policies. The Contractor will conduct a “Business Case for Breastfeeding” model train the trainer for county stakeholder representatives, develop assessment tools (pre and post assessment for county trainings), and provide assistance with development of lactation policies and education for county employers/businesses.
