Specifications include, but are not limited to: Miami University’s IT Services is considering the need for a partner in the growing infrastructural needs of a hybrid deployment between Miami University on-prem and AWS infrastructure. Program Goals: 1) Establish AWS hybrid environments that align with the AWS well architected four pillars supporting the following services out of the box: a) IBM Spectrum Protect: Backup Replication b) LDAP: OpenLDAP Directory Services c) MS Active Directory: Directory Services, AWS EC2 Domain Controllers d) Central Authentication Services e) Infoblox: DNS Tertiary deployment f) DB: Oracle DB, MariaDB, MS SQL Server g) Ellucian Banner: Oracle Weblogic Middleware h) Individual departmental subnets for GPU and EMR on demand 2) AWS environment should be established to scale to handle all services currently running in local datacenter. Integration with Puppet a must. 3) Integration with CloudWatch and/or Nagios for service monitoring. 4) Establish IAM, Users, Groups and Roles enabling use of Miami University’s existing AD infrastructure. 5) Establish cross account billing and management with all necessary policies, roles and permissions. 6) Establish CloudTrail and Flow Logging to Security Account with best practice deployment of AWS Config and/or Lambda for environmental monitoring and configuration management. 7) Establish the necessary accounts for Prod, Test, Dev, Academic departments 8) Provide Service Catalog or other service enabling resource deployment without the need of manual integration. (Integration with Puppet a must.) 9) Establish billing dashboard and reporting through Quicksight or other tool. 10) Establish ECS container services with Kubernetes for development review.
