The Columbus Recreation and Parks Department (CRPD) is seeking quotes for the purchase of four hundred fifty (450) yards of playground mulch. Three hundred (300) yards of the mulch to be picked up locally within the City of Columbus, Ohio area. One hundred fifty (150) yards of the mulch to be delivered by the Vendor and dumped in city parks; delivery trips to be less than twenty-five (25) miles, if being distributed from a location within the City of Columbus, Ohio. Loads to be thirty (30) yards of mulch per trip. The engineered wood fiber (EWF) playground mulch must be certified by International Play Equipment Manufacturers Association (IPEMA). The use of the IPEMA Playground Surfacing EWF signifies that the product conforms with the requirements of ASTM F1292 at a specified critical fall height and to the requirements of ASTM F2075 for engineered wood fiber quality and purity. Certification certificate must be provided to CRPD by the Vendor awarded this contract. Vendor will work with CRPD project manager to schedule delivery trips. Trips will be scheduled accordingly to align with weather and park use. Summary of Work • Supply four hundred fifty yards of IPEMA certified playground mulch. Mulch picked up by CRPD. • Supply, deliver and dump one hundred fifty yards of IPEMA certified playground mulch. Delivery trips less than twenty-five miles each with thirty yards per trip, five trips total. • Schedule deliveries accordingly to minimize park impacts due to weather and avoid conflicts with park use.
