The City is seeking proposals from highly experienced and qualified vendors to provide Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity insurance for our public sector employees. We are seeking comprehensive and competitive solutions that meet the needs of our diverse workforce. The City’s goals with this RFP are to better understand your company’s capabilities to deploy these services to our employees and their eligible dependents. The City does not currently offer these services to its City employees. As such, the City will be looking for a vendor that can partner with the City during the roll-out of these benefit offerings to fully explain these benefits with a workforce that does not currently have access to this type of benefit plan. The City intends to follow a selection timetable that will result in the choice of an vendor during the first quarter of 2026. The City will expect the vendor to participate in an open enrollment specifically targeted for these benefits in March/April 2026. Finalists may be invited to present a more tailored proposal to the City’s administration, including representatives from management, labor representatives, and the Healthcare and Wellness Committee.
