Specifications include, but are not limited to: Due to the many unforeseen factors that relate to the upfitting of Snow Plow Trucks, it is impossible to detail out step-by-step of the work that will be performed for each individual truck. ODOT proposes for the awarded vendor to upfit, approximately 26, tandem axle snow plow dump trucks. The exact step-by-step of work is not detailed but may include, and is not limited to, the following services on the plow trucks: • Awarded vendors must provide a detailed work order, per truck, with all parts and labor documented. This includes manufacturers and manufacture’s part numbers installed on each truck. • Installation of, ODOT provided, Snowplow Hitch (GLEDHILL HFF/QCP-H-DP-3-CP). See Figure 1 below. • Installation of, ODOT provided, hydraulic system (Pengwyn: IT485 and LS485). See Figure 2 below. • Installation of, ODOT provided, spacer plate for hydraulic system listed above. See Figure 2 below. • Installation of, ODOT provided, road temperature sensor and all wiring included (Precise: ARC-WTS-DS-H2). See Figure 3 below. • Installation of, ODOT provided, road temperature sensor mounting bracket. See Figure 3 below. • Installation of, ODOT provided, stainless-steel dump body & radius dump body to tandem axle truck frame. See Figure 4 below. Bed setback measurement will be specified, by ODOT, at time of build. Standard 15 ft. dump body trucks: 33” from back of cab to front of bed. 15 ft. RDS trucks: 25 1/2” from back of cab to front of bed. • Installation of, ODOT provided, stainless-steel cab shield bolted to frame. See Figure 5 below. • Tailgate, body, and cab outlined with D.O.T. approved conspicuity reflective tape. Exact placement of tape will be determined in pre-build meeting. See Figure 6 below. • Installation of, ODOT provided, rear hitch plate. See Figure 7 below. • Must use 280 series Metri-Pack connectors. • Vendor must supply the manufacture of the hose and hose ends that they are planning to use for the trucks. • Plumb hydraulic lines from manifold to front plow and to rear of body. • Must use bodybuilder plug (if not visible, could be located behind dash bezel) supplied by awarded vendor off ODOT contract 023-21, this information will be provided by ODOT. o See Plug Placement Chart I-1 below. • Plumbing and installation of, ODOT provided, wetting tanks (only on the radius dump bodies). Wetting mounting brackets supplied by vendor. • Vendor must provide 1 ½” flow lines and ¾” suction lines for wetting. • Installation of two (2) Whelen (Parr Public Safety Equipment: Item # 01-1519011-000) rear heated taillight cluster sets. See Figure 8 below. • Installation of, ODOT provided, plow light bracket. See Figure 8 below. • Installation of 7-pin trailer plug to existing ODOT provided trailer wiring. See Figure 9 below.
