4.2.1 The transmission fluid supplied under this specification shall meet or exceed the latest revision of the following: (a) Allison Service Information Letter 13-TR-90, Rev. E (b) Chrysler - ATF (c) Ford MERCON® (d) General Motors DEXRON® 4.2.2 The proposed ATF shall be approved for use by the manufacturer of Allison, GM/Ford/Chrysler truck, and car transmissions. 4.2.3 The ATF shall be used in the following transmissions: (a) Allision MT-643, AT-545 (b) Ford (car & truck 1990 to present) – (If Ford states MERCON®, / DEXRON® can be used) (c) GM (car & truck 1990 to present) – (If GM states DEXRON®, /MERCON® can be used) (d) Chrysler (car & truck 1990 to present) – (If Chrysler states DEXRON®, /MERCON® can be used) 4.2.4 The transmission fluid supplied under the resultant contract shall meet the requirements of Allison/GM Severe Duty Extended Drain Interval Automatic Transmission Fluid Specification TES-668 or latest revision and be approved by Allison Transmission Corp. 4.2.5 The successful Bidder shall be required to supply the GCRTA with a copy of the Allison (TES-668) test approval letter before the contract is awarded.
