Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Ryan White Part B program serves approximately 7,500 individuals, receiving at least one payable service (e.g., insurance premium payments, co-payments, medical, oral health and/or mental health services). These services are coordinated by funded Ryan White Part B case managers. Hundreds of authorized providers receive payment from the Ryan White Part B program on a monthly basis which results in approximately 30,000 disbursements annually, totaling nearly $7 million dollars in services. Given the volume of annual disbursements, the Ryan White Part B program determined that contracting with a TPA entity is the most efficient way to issue payments on behalf of clients enrolled in the Program. Most importantly, the payments issued are often times time-sensitive and if not received promptly, may result in a client losing his/her insurance. It is imperative that the Ryan White Part B program continue to support a streamlined and efficient system of issuing payments to ensure clients retain insurance coverage, along with, a system for issuing reimbursement payments to medical entities for services rendered.
