Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Consultant must be licensed by the state of Ohio for private investigation and watch/guard services in accordance with ORC 4749.03, and must be compliant with all federal, state and local laws. Consultant must provide proof of license to the MSD Safety Manager. All Security Officers and supervisors will hold and maintain a current security license from the state of Ohio. 2. All Security officers must be registered as mandated by state law ORC 4749.06 and must have in their possession a current security identification card. These cards must be renewed annually. Copies of each Security Officer’s card must be provided annually to the MSD Safety Manager. If consultant determines that a Security Officer, utilized at a facility, has any violations as outlined by state law, they must report this, with documentation, to the Ohio Department of Public Safety, Ohio Homeland Security. In accordance with state law, when a security officer leaves consultant’s employment, the security identification card must be turned in to the Ohio Department of Public Safety, Ohio Homeland Security by the Contractor. 3. All Guards must be without physical or mental defects or abnormalities, which would interfere with the performance of duties. Guards shall have the physical agility to move rapidly within the patrolled area to respond to any emergency. Guards shall have the physical stamina to work in extreme weather conditions, including but not limited to summer’s sun and heat and winter’s cold, ice and snow. 4. All Guards are required to comply with the general work rules set forth by the agency for the assigned facility applicable to them as part of this contract. 5. A complete and thorough background check shall be performed on all persons who will be employed as Guards/supervisors for this contract. The investigation shall be conducted and paid for by the Consultant and shall be submitted to the agency for approval prior to assignment of the Guard/supervisor to the contract location(s). Offerors will have five (5) working days, upon notification to provide documentation. Failure to provide the required documentation within the five (5) working days shall deem your bid non-responsive and no further consideration for award shall be given.
