1. Work Schedule: o Emergency repairs must be addressed within 24 hours of notification. 1. A pothole or pavement failure that presents an immediate hazard to vehicular or pedestrian traffic, including but not limited to failures on arterial routes, near intersections, transit routes, or locations identified by the City as high-risk. Emergency response may consist of a temporary repair to make the location safe, followed by permanent repair as directed by the City. o Routine repairs shall be scheduled and completed within five (5) business days of assignment unless otherwise approved. o Work may be required during normal business hours, after hours, weekends, or holidays. o Work may be assigned by the City’s designated representative via written, electronic, or verbal notification. The City reserves the right to modify priorities, locations, or schedules based on operational needs. 2. Contractor Qualifications: o Minimum of three (3) years of experience performing roadway repair and maintenance services. o Familiarity with ODOT and City of Cincinnati construction standards. o Must possess all required licenses, permits, and insurance (e.g., General Liability, Workers’ Compensation). TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS A. Materials 1. Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) o Shall conform to ODOT Item 448 Type 1 or 2 for surface course. o Material shall be placed when ambient temperature is above 40°F unless otherwise approved by the City. 2. Cold Patch Material (as needed for winter operations) o Must be approved by the City. o Suitable for use in cold, wet, or inclement weather conditions. o Must remain pliable and workable in temperatures below 32°F. 3. Tack Coat o SS-1h or approved equal, applied at manufacturer-recommended rate when bonding new asphalt to existing surface. 4. Crushed Aggregate (if needed) o Conforming to ODOT Item 304 for base repair or leveling.
