The 180th Fighter Wind is researching service to perform regularly scheduled service on eight solvent parts washers at 16-week intervals to ensure the machines remain in working order. The parts washers include five Safety Kleen System One Model 250 solvent recycling units (30 gallon capacities), two 15-gallon non-recycling Supreme units, and one 15-gallon non-recycling Brighbill Model 85 Hurriwasher. Services to be performed include, but are not limited to, removing/replacing MIL-PRF 680 Type II solvent as needed, cleaning debris from the parts washer sinks, emptying waste product from the drains of the System One machines, collection and responsible management of spent and/or excess solvent and other waste, and supplying a product SDS for each parts washer during every service visit.
