The purpose of this invitation is to establish a term contract for hydraulically powered, reversible, trip edge snowplows (Front Plow, Mid-Mount Wing Plow, Rear-Mount Wing Plow, and Underbody Plow). All deliveries made to a Department of Transportation facility must be made between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday not including State Holidays, unless special permission is granted by the Department to temporarily waive or adjust this requirement. The Ohio Department of Transportation reserves the right to inspect, test and approve units at the manufacturer’s plant or bidder’s establishment prior to delivery, or at the destination point. The purpose of these specifications is to describe hydraulically powered, reversible, trip edge front snowplows, mid and rear mounted wing plows, straight and folding underbody. All plow configurations must work with ODOT’s existing hydraulic systems provided by Force America, Muncie or Pengwyn. All parts not specifically mentioned, which are necessary to provide a complete unit, or normally furnished as standard equipment shall be furnished. The parts shall conform in strength, quality of material and workmanship to what is normally provided in the industry.
