Specifications include, but are not limited to: The intent of these specifications is to provide clarification on vendor-supplied snow removal services to include adequate supplies, equipment, labor, and supervision to accomplish all required snow removal services. Contractor shall be deemed to have knowledge of the nature of the work and areas that require snow removal. Vendor shall furnish all necessary personnel, supplies and equipment to provide snow removal, plowing, salting with calcium chloride, etc. per the schedule listed below. For snowfalls of between 2 and 6 inches, all snow shall be plowed away from buildings and building entrances, pushed to the farthest end of the parking lot. No snow shall be piled up or stacked around landscaping. Contractor will relocate snow that has accumulated during the term, if such accumulation begins to impair access to the property entrance, fire lanes, interior roadways or designated parking stalls. All fire hydrants must be kept free from snow and easily accessible. Contractor shall not create drifts in front of dumpster areas, fire lanes, entrances, on sidewalks, or blocking walkways. Contractor will remove created drifts at no cost. Contractor shall return during the day to plow vacant parking spaces. If a majority of parking stalls are still occupied, the contractor will return the next day before 8am to plow as many parking spots as possible.
